In a commendable initiative to prioritize employee well-being, Param Packaging organized a comprehensive eye and health checkup camp in partnership with Urmil Eye Hospital from Vapi. The camp witnessed a remarkable turnout, with 120 workers undergoing thorough examinations for eye disorders and general health assessments.
The eye examinations focused on detecting refractive errors, anterior segment pathologies, color vision deficiencies, and other vision-related issues. Notably, more than 15 workers were diagnosed with cataracts, prompting Param Packaging to collaborate with Krishna Cancer Aid and Ami Polymer to facilitate free surgical interventions for these individuals.
Beyond eye examinations, the camp also conducted general health checkups, including measurements of height, weight, blood pressure, and blood sugar levels. This holistic approach enabled the identification of potential health risks and underlying conditions, allowing for timely medical interventions and preventive measures.
The camp’s reach extended to workers from the nearby areas of Amli and Khanvel, underscoring Param Packaging’s commitment to promoting preventive healthcare and early detection of health issues within its workforce and the local community. With over 100 patients examined, the initiative demonstrated the company’s dedication to fostering a culture of care and support in the workplace.
